Happy New Year!
Kindergarten
- Discussion questions
- Look at the keyboard
- Find all of the keys that they need to learn on a real keyboard: letters, numbers, shift, enter, backspace, spacebar
- Show students (demo on board) what each of the "special" keys does: shift, enter, backspace, spacebar
- Review how to hold down the SHIFT key to capitalize a letter
- Go to seats and practice pushing the buttons (no program open)
- Open MS Word (with adult help) and practice inputting name into MS Word (review the shift key so that they make sure to do capitals)
