Kindergarten
- Kindergarten ABC Ya!
- Discussion questions
- What is the keyboard?
- What do we use the keyboard to do?
- Why do we need to learn where keys are on the keyboard?
- Who can find (name the key) on the keyboard
- Look at the keyboard
- Find all of the keys that they need to learn on a real keyboard: letters, numbers, shift, enter, backspace, spacebar
- Show students (demo on board) what each of the "special" keys does: shift, enter, backspace, spacebar
- Review how to hold down the SHIFT key to capitalize a letter
- Go to seats and practice pushing the buttons (no program open)
1st Grade
2nd Grade
- Review MS Paint
- Students work to draw a Minion in MS Paint (demo this first)
3rd Grade
- Review AUP; review that this is for school purposes only
- Give out usernames and passwords
- Have students (or me) copy down their login info
- Get on computer and practice using login info
