Kindergarten
- Watch videos below, review opening and closing tabs, demo how to get to KDG tab on my blog site (and how to go back to my blog site) and demo all of those sites- students may work there for the rest of class
1st Grade
- MS Word List (do this first, keyboarding games when finished)
- Open MS Word with help of teacher
- Complete MS Word Tasks
- Type in first and last name with capitals at the beginning
- Press Enter twice
- Type in ABC's with a space after each letter
- NOTE: Type ABC's LARGE and project onto screen so that students can see what the ABC's are.
- Press Enter twice
- Type in #'s 1-20 with a space after each number
- NOTE: Type 123's LARGE and project onto screen so that students can see what the 123's are.
- Press Enter twice
- Copy a sentence from the board: The quick red fox ran down the road.
- Exit and DON'T save
2nd Grade
- Typing.com Video #1
- Typing.com Video #2
- Review Typing.com (where to click and how to login, how to logout)
- Have students login to Typing.com and work for a few minutes
- Show students Typing.com games at 25 minutes into class
- Students click on Games and go Typing.com games for the rest of class
3rd Grade
- Work on PPT (no typing this week):
- Click Slide #1
- Place a picture on the first slide together...or finish pictures if you already started them
- Have students click slide #2 and put a picture there; same for Slide #3
- Demo Transitions and Animations; Students will put animations and transitions on their PPT's
- Click Transitions Menu
- Click Slide 1 and then click a transition
- Do the same for slides #2-3
- Click Animations Menu
- Click back to Slide #1
- Click the Title -- discuss with students how we should always animate the title first bc it should come onto the screen first
- Click an animation for the title; show students how the animations screen remains gray until you choose something to animate
- Click name on title slide-click an animation
- Click the picture on the title screen and then choose an animation
- Do the Title, Words, Pictures on Slides #2-3
- Demonstrate the Spell Check and have students do that- help them with this individually
- Save and exit when finished
